The Opportunity
The FIFA World Cup 2026TM will be the biggest ever: 48 nations playing 104 matches across Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Seattle will host six matches.
With hundreds of thousands of visitors and millions of viewers tuning in to Seattle during the Juneteenth match when Seattle hosts the United States Men's National Team, we are presented with a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact. This moment allows us to educate the world, inspire our Black community, and uplift Black businesses and cultural organizations.
The Juneteenth Match image will serve as an iconic visual legacy, uniting people across the globe to our city and state during the largest sporting event in history.
The most powerful designs will be both thought-provoking and celebratory, reflecting the energy of the FIFA World Cup while honoring the meaning and spirit of Juneteenth. This is your opportunity to help shape a legacy that will be seen and remembered worldwide.
Working within this guidance, we encourage designs that capture the essence of what makes Seattle and Washington special.
Disclaimer: The Juneteenth Match design is an independent creation specifically for the SeattleFWC26 LOC and is not an official FIFA asset. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by FIFA.
