A Legacy of Local Progress

About seattle stadium

Soccer in Service of Community

We are hosting six FIFA World Cup 26™  matches over three weeks in 2026, and it’s not just about hosting matches, it’s about who gets to be part of the story. In that spirit, our success will be measured in how our community benefits for years to come.

We’re making our legacy in partnership with community organizations, inspiring our children, and advancing exciting projects in sustainability, human rights, accessibility, and culture.

Whether launching new solutions, supporting what’s already working, or using our global megaphone to highlight local priorities, SeattleFWC26 embraces the opportunity — and the responsibility — of being a host city for the largest sporting event in history. Let’s use this moment of global focus to make lasting local progress.

Advisory Committees

Human Rights

The HRAC’s charter is to assist the LOC is creating a Human Rights outreach plan, Human Rights risk assessment and Human Rights action plan. FIFA is requesting that all 16 Host Cities create these three Human Rights products while recognizing that they likely look different in different cities and countries.

Human Rights is an expansive and important concept with varying meanings for different people, communities, and cultures. We are focused on three specific aspects of Human Rights (summarized from FWC26’s guidance and framework for host city human rights): safeguarding & inclusion, workers’ rights, and access to remedy.
