Building an Accessible World Cup Experience
The Seattle FIFA World Cup 2026™ Local Organizing Committee (SeattleFWC26) is committed to making every event, activity, and fan experience inclusive and accessible to all—including people with disabilities, people with limited mobility, those needing visual or sensory access, and those requiring language or cultural support.

As part of this commitment, partners are supporting youth across the region by distributing soccer-themed backpacks and gear kits—encouraging play, confidence, and a sense of community through the joy of the game.
Building a Legacy of Inclusion and Innovation
SeattleFWC26 is using the FIFA World Cup 2026™ as a platform to expand access, inclusion, and creativity across Washington. Through partnerships that advance adaptive sports, accessibility technology, and inclusive fan experiences, the LOC is ensuring that everyone—regardless of ability or background—can take part in the world’s game. From Blind Soccer and tactile broadcasting to accessible wayfinding and inclusive training programs, these efforts are shaping a legacy of innovation and belonging that will endure long after the final match.
Megaevent Playbook
SeattleFWC26, in partnership with the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, is creating a free Small Business Megaevent Playbook to help local enterprises make the most of the World Cup’s economic and cultural opportunities. The digital guide will provide practical tools, planning checklists, and real-world examples to help small businesses prepare for increased visitors and global visibility.
The Playbook includes insights on customer readiness, inclusive signage, marketing and storytelling opportunities, accessibility best practices, and neighborhood coordination, ensuring businesses statewide are ready to welcome the world.
Stadium Neighborhood FWC26 Liaisons
SeattleFWC26 has launched a liaison network connecting the Stadium District neighborhoods—Pioneer Square, the Chinatown-International District, and SODO—with World Cup planners. These community liaisons share information, gather feedback, and help ensure local residents, small businesses, and service providers are prepared for event operations and opportunities during 2026.

In the lead-up to FIFA World Cup 2026™ matches in Seattle, a series of partnerships with underserved and tribal communities in Washington are creating a lasting legacy of access, culture and free play.
