Meet Maple, Clutch, and Zayu our World Cup Mascots!

FIFA has announced the three mascots for the 2026 World Cup games, representing the host nations– and relative positions on the pitch. Maple the Moose, representing Canada, is marketed as a stalwart defender. The US is fielding midfielder Clutch the Bald Eagle. Zayu the Jaguar, Mexico’s mascot, is of course a prowling striker.

The three mascots will soon be available on shirts, hats, and other materials through FIFA, but we’re excited for Clutch to find plenty of company in the PNW, where eagles can be seen daily in our parks, forests, and soaring above the Puget Sound.
